This work provides a theoretical-methodological approach to detecting and conceptualizing the conflict frames between the Mapuche communities and the Chilean State expressed in national and regional press news. We aim to lay the epistemological and conceptual bases on which we build a matrix to analyze texts. The literature review is crucial to finding an operational definition that can be disaggregated into dimensions and, within these, into variables that highlight the interpretative frameworks of the Mapuche conflict in the Chilean media.
